Bottle share gathering at Bruce’s. Thanks to Bruce. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Sweetish malts with mild caramel - toffee. Trace of vanilla. Mild dried fruit, light marmalade. Spicy hops. Light semi dry finish. Nicely joined up.

Bottle split at Bruce’s, thanks to our host with the most, 06/03/15. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent beige covering. Nose is caramel, spice, dark fruits, dates, toffee fudge. Taste comprises sweet licks, toffee, background tropicana, caramelised brown sugar, fruit cake mix. Medium + body, fine carbonation, sweet licks and a trace of booze in the close. Ok barley wine, pretty approachable if a little basic.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Bruce. Pours clear amber with a frothy off-white head. The aroma rich bready malts, crunchy caramel, leafy hops. Medium sweet flavor, toasty grains, caramel, earth. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with bready malts, ripe fruits, toasty grains. Solid overall

Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours clear deep amber with a small off-white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, juicy, raisin, fruit cake, candied peel, toasty brown sugar and malt loaf. The taste is smooth, toasty brown sugar, dried fruits, raisin, earth, brown sugar, toasty brown bread, mild acidity, light warming alcohol and fruit cake with a dry finish. Medium- full body and moderate carbonation. Tasty and well rounded. Rather nice.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s place. Many thanks to Bruce for this one. Deep orange / amber coloured pour with a little sticky cream coloured pour. Aroma is caramel, toffee, jammy fruit, berry, vanilla. Flavour is composed of caramel, mineral, strawberry jam, semi sweet. Palate is semi sweet, little thin, highish carbonation. Nice caramel and berry fruits.

750 c&c from the brewery shop. Pours bright orange copper with no head. Aroma of floral and very light roasty malt. Med body. Flavor is sweet, brown sugar lightly, with floral, and some detectable hear. Thought there eas a touch of diacetyl at first, but apparently not. A clean, not too sweet, sipper.

Bottle - thanks Matt! Bottle #7 at the tasting. Pours hazy blood orange with a small beige head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is malty, bready, toffee, grass and a bit of pine. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, a bit metallic perhaps. Medium body, lingering bitterness.
