A malty, smoked bock that will warm your insides.
A beautiful, malty bock beer with a smoky edge, that is a perfect accompaniment for a Sunday roast or indeed for cosying up with by the fire this winter.

Bottle at the Cotteridge Convention thanks to Daniel. It pours clear deep amber with a medium white head. The nose is smooth, toasty, earth, mild smoke, cardboard, ham and some cake. The taste is smooth, bitter-sweet, toasty brown sugar, grainy, brown bread and mild smoke. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smoke is fairly restrained. OK.

24th Jan 2015: shared bottle at the Cotteridge Wine meet. Amber, no head, plenty of smoked ham though, malty and burnt flavours up the nose and in the mouth: decent and different for a UK brew anyway, not really my thing.
