Bottle from Oddbins, Portobello, London. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, caramel, bread, biscuit, malt and a little veg. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Something slightly unappealing to the finish.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Brixton, Saturday 3rd December 2016 whilst on a Brixton and Brockwell Park walk from the London Hidden Walks Book vol 2 Pours a deep reddy/orange colour, thick in the mouth, unusual hoppiness, likeable but different. Strength is apparent, lingering bitter bite, hard pithy edge. Good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark copper pour with a creamy light tan head, aroma has caramel and some pine action, taste has sweet malts, some toffee, a hint of pine, some big IBUs knocking about, grapefruit, tangerine, quite sweet, make a big beer put it in a big bottle mentality, not everybody has friends, some people drink alone AA, this has cancelled out 3 other scoops, quite enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Megawatt Imperial IPA on 31 Jan 2016 at 18:07 - Score: 7. Handpull cask at the Crown & Anchor, Brixton. Amber, ever-so-slightly hazy. Tidy little off-white head on top. Grass, grapefruit and turpentine on the aroma. Taste starts sweet but quickly turns exceptionally bitter, leading to an impressive face-screwing-up bitter finish. Hints of caramel, raspberry and forest floor in the aftertaste. It’s slightly rough around the edges but I like it. This dirty sexy little beer works extremely well.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s flat. Thanks to Leighton. Hazy deep gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is crisp and dry. Airy pale malts. Hops are spicy orange and spicy pine and errr hop spicy! Finishes dry and crisp with even more hop spice. Not bad, certainly lots of fresh hop here but the spice character dominates.

Bottle shared at the ’Beers of London’ Tasting MkII, Bespin Cloud City - Hyde Park zone, thanks to our host with the most - LKS 11/02/15. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is jammy citrics, melon, pine needle, tangerine, light floral notes, mango. Taste comprises orange pith, chalky minerals, mandarin, citric sherbets, apricot, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, earthy hop closure with a big mineral rinse. Adequate DIPA, drinkable affair but plenty better out there.
