Cask, on gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol October 2015. Golden in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Biscuity malts, a touch of stone fruit, leafy hops and a moderately dry finish. Good.

Penderel’s Oak Spoons. Cask. Clear amber beer, small white head. Palate is smooth with modest fine carbonation. Smooth malts. Mildly sweet caramel. Mildly tangy dried friuts. Trace of malt cream. Light semi dry finish. Modest tangy bitter linger. Okay.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Golden amber with a loose white head; nice hoppy aroma; syrupy texture and a well hopped taste, but one that’s rather confusing with a combination of spices, fruit, resin and fresh grassy herbs - unexpectedly the German hops seem to be able to hold their own against their new world cousins. Intriguing and satisfying.

Cask handpull at Lord Moon of the Mall Spoons. Amber colour thin white head. Lots of hops thrown at this beer. Grapefruit and grass. Light sulphur. Not great condition. Ok.
