Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Golden amber with a loose white head; nice hoppy aroma; syrupy texture and a well hopped taste, but one that’s rather confusing with a combination of spices, fruit, resin and fresh grassy herbs - unexpectedly the German hops seem to be able to hold their own against their new world cousins. Intriguing and satisfying.
