Cask at the Baron Cadogan (JDW), Caversham. Pale amber with a scummy looking white head; floral aroma; soft grainy body; and a bready finish. Rather ordinary.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2016. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Aroma of biscuity malts, stone fruits and a touch of leafy hop. Flavour had a lot more rich tea biscuit and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask handpull at County Hotel Ashford jdw. Clear amber gold colour lasting white head. some malt some hop. It’s a classic golden bitter. Some biscuit. Great condition and temp. Love the biscuit. Glad I went for a whole pint rather than a half. Good classic golden biscuit bitter with some dry bitter hops on the finish.

Cask @ Beckett’s Bank, Leeds. Clear golden ale with next to no head, and a mild, sticky-sweet texture. It’s crisp and easy-supping rather than having a stated character.
