Bottle pour at The Cider House - Borough Market, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out musty pear skins and light-moderate funk. Flavour is moderately sweet, with a tart pear character, and light farmhouse notes. Tart, funky, and crisp finish, with residual sweetness that is outcompeted by the tartness. Good.

375ml bottle, as ’Fine Perry Season 2015’, from Olivers Cider Farm, Herefordshire. Pours clear yellow. Aroma is light, moderately sweet Blakeney Red perry fruit. Taste is balanced, with good perry fruit presence, not particularly complex or overly sweet, quite refined with good subtlety of flavours. Nice afternoon perry.

Bottle shared in Richmond - many thanks to Daniel. Pours clear yellow, with a few bubbles around the rim. The nose has dry pear, pear skins, musty apples. Light to medium sweet flavor, with lots of drying mustiness, semi-ripe pear, more pear skins, some hay, leather. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Very clean and bone dry on the finish, with moderate sweet ripening pear, hint of lemon peel, apple, hay bales, basement, just a hint of tangy sweat. Really good stuff. Well balanced, very nicely drying. I like this very much.
