Hazy orange with thin, lasting head. A little bready and yeasty. Fairly thin bodied. Not very flavoursome.

Bottle at University Club. Mansfield Road, Oxford, Friday 7th August. A lively pour, looks marvellous, warm gold with a white sticky head, Loz gets almond, she’s right it is a little nutty. It’s so soft it’s like drinking a pillow (I’ve had quite a few today so I can be excused the daft descriptions) anyway it is quite enjoyable. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

22/VII/15 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Tom & Mieke's place - BB: 2018 (2015-959)

Gusher alert!
Cloudy orange beer, big aery off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very yeasty, bit chemical, sourish, fruity touch, funky. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, "Cuberdons", candy, sugary, little bitter, yeasty. Aftertaste: more forest fruit candy, sugary, very yeasty, bit sourish. Another gusher from Gaverhopke. Very nice to play Russian roulette over your coffee table: will it gush or not?

Mild gusher. Murky amber beer with a big fluffy pale cream colour head. Light creamy nose, slightly nutty. Airy palate, just modest fine carbonation. Sweetish malts with ephemeral cream. Mild spice. Slightly stale dried fruits. Dry finish. Clunky but passable.

Bottle @ home. Huge gusher. Hazy golden yellow colour with no real head. Smells sweet, malts, sugar, spices. Tastes sweet, herbs. Just bad. Medium body, medium carbo.

Bottle @ home. Huge gusher!! Unclear yellow color with yeast residu floating in it, huge rough white to off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, floral, a hint of perfume and quite sweet. Not an abbey tripel in my book. In the end it tastes ok but I’m sure as hell not gonna open another bottle of this.

Bottle shared. Pours hazy dark golden with an off white head, after some lively fizzing and minor gush. Aroma of biscuity malt, caramel, light red fruits, molasses and yeast. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with high carbonation.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Lots of pressure. We had to open this one slowly. Thick creamy white head. Cloudy blond pour. A decent tripel but a bit too yeasty

Bottle at bierhuyske Pours blonde, good white head Smell is typical GH , but this time in a good way ... Taste is grainy, bit sweet , not as bitter as other tripels . The GH character shines trough, but its way above their average beer . Certainly a very nice tripel . No problems when cooled, but at cellar temperature a bit of a gusher
