A black beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, fruit, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, and dried fruits, leading to a dry roasted finish.

12oz tulip at City Taphouse. Pours a deep mahogany brown with a ring of beige head. Nose has a lot of chocolate, raw cocoa nib, bread crust, earthy, a little soil, a little raisin, some chalk. Flavor is malty, gristy, chocolate, some dried fruit, but just sweet. Reminded me more of a stout. Chalky finish.
