Cask half-pint in my local Wetherspoons on 9th Nov 2016. Golden amber rather than a ’blondie’ in my eyes: off-white, lasting smooth crown. Fairly bitter blend with the malts playing second fiddle throughout: decent enough but nothing special or out of the ordinary.

On cask at King’s Highway, Inverness. Appearance - not blonde at all. Deep amber in fact. Decent head. Nose - toffee, molasses and more toffer. Taste - more toffee. Light shortbread and caramel note at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - it’s definitely a Bitter. Maybe even a Mild. Decent!

Appearance: Hazy deep golden color with a white head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Deep malty, light fruity and mild hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: A fine malty background, mild hoppy and rich fruity.
Overall impression: Maybee a bit unbalanced. Very fruity.
Personal stats: On tap at The Bluecoat in Rotherham, England.

Bottle from Darts Farm. Hazy golden, no head at all. No carbonation, malty with some nice hops and a Whisky-like alcohol touch, but quite thin.

On tap somewhere - maybe Market Porter. Low carbonation and dry! Not a favourite combination! Just about enough hop fruit to keep it interesting.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 6/12/07. Deep gold colour with a decent white head. Aroma of sour apples with some citrus hops. Flavour was slightly spicy with a dry finish. Strange.

Cask gravity at Nottingham BF 2007. Gold, bleachy apricot aroma. OK in mouth, but more bleach on end. Not very pleasant. Not sure what it is trying to taste of. Bleachy apricot.
