Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth, semi dry and slightly soft. Mellow but rich dark malts, dark malt cream. Touch of chocolate. Mellow but fruity whisky. Trace of barrel wood. As it reaches it’s smooth finish there is some bitterness kicking in and also oaky vanilla and more chocolate. Good one.

Bottle split at Scopey’s 5K Extravaganza of Oompah Band meets doorbell music, thanks to Josh - 15/02/14. Light black with a moderate tan covering that dissipates edgeward. Nose is dark toffee fudge, light vanilla essence, dark fruit swizzle sticks, brown sugars, cocoa powder. Taste comprises toffee fudge, vanilla, chocolate, molasses, subtle whisky BA notes, light booze, earthy, cocoa powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Decent mellow easy drinking Impy with subtle BA effect. Still lacks depth for the ABV as per the others in this series.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a broken frothy light tan head. The aroma is rich creamy caramel coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour is strong bitter with a slightly watery big boozy alcoholic liqourice palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. A very good beer. The aroma was amazing but the consistency is too watery and the flavour falls away way too quickly.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Opaque black color, small light brown head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts and barrel aging. Taste malts, only lightly roasty, but again dominantly the barrel aging coming through. Hard to describe though, there are plently of flavors but I can’t quite seem to find out the individual flavors. Could mean they’re very well blended together off course. Yeah, let’s stay with that, so it’s not me ;) Nice beer.

Bottle @ joes. Not completely black, but still pretty much black colour with a small light brown head. Smells sweet, roasty, chocolate, raisins, cognac, some alcohol. Tastes roasty, chocolate, slightly ashy, sweet, slightly vanilla, wood, whisky. Full body, soft carbo, slightly silky, lasting taste.

Pours black , almost no head ( mocha coloured ) Smells a bit sweet , but very unintence . Good carbo , whiskey taste is there , just spot on ! Not too intence , not to weak . Mouthfeel is a bit thin . Some of the ’ usual ’ stout taste in the back . Much oak , but like stouts with more in-your-face roasted malt tastes . Very well made nevertheless !

Whiskey smell. Has a smooth velvet taste of RIS and the longmorn. Some coffee and vanilla. Very good.

On tap at Jopen Winterbierfestival. Black, no head. Aroma of sweet whisky, wood, sweet fruits, hard roasted malts, bitter chocolate and coffee. Flavour is dominated by the Longmorn, but it’s one of my favorite whisky’s, so that’s good, sweet, wood, liquorice, hint of vanilla and sweet spice, hard roasted malts, coffee, bittersweet light-boozy finish. Medium-bodied, almost no carbonation. Nice beer.
