Bottle as Passarola Pique-nique Series: Saison shared at the Craft Islington bottle share. Thanks Andre! It pours lightly hazy golden with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, bready, banana, cereal, cracker, straw and toasted grain. The taste is crisp, bitter, cereal, straw, peppery spice throughout, banana, hay, earth and some alcohol through the finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Perhaps a touch heavy and spicy. Decent overall, but not as good as the other two saisons in the series.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 25B - standard). Bottle 75 cl - Batch L162SP. AROMA: yeast notes and medium pepperu alcohol with a slight estery presence (orange-like). Slight acidic clean touch (lactic-like). Medium-low presence of lacquer/solvent notes. APPEARANCE: golden color and clear. huge white head with medium-low retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma, with a dominant yeasty note, some lacquer and a faint orange presence. very faint malty background and slightly sweet. high bitterness and aggressive. dry and very bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body with some alcohol texture. very high carbonation. OVERALL: a saison with some odd and problematic notes. needs re-tasting of another batch.
