Bottle shared at Scopey place birthday tasting. Many thanks to the Wingman Dave for this one. A translucent yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is nice saison yeast, lemon rind, chalky. Flavour is light straw grain, spicy lemon citrus, spicy phenols, tangy pinch of citrus acid. Palate is frothy and crisp finish, spritzy carbonation. Good saison yeast.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to WW. Pours u clear yellow with a big, frothy white head. Light phenols in the nose, dry hay, pale grain. Light sweet flavor with more dry wheat, lemon peel, melon, faint peach, saison yeast. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, with more yeast, melon, citrus peel. Solid saison.

Bottle at Craig’s. It pours lightly hazy gold with a medium white head. The nose is soft, toasted grain, sweetish, preserved lemon, lime, lemon cheesecake and some candy. The taste is soft, mellow, cracker, white bread, lemon sherbet, grass and some pepper. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Soft and easy-going. Pretty OK, but perhaps a touch sweet.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of green apple, funky yeast and grapefruit. Flavour of lemon, nettles, grass and a peppery finish. Medium body with a frothy texture. Lively fizz. One of the best Drygate beers I’ve tried. The first sip made me think of Orval.
