Bottle bought at Secretts, Milford. Aroma is malty, earthy. I think there are spores in there. Clear chestnut. Big fluffy foamy off-white head. Sweet - malty, dried fruit - followed by ligh-medium earthy bitterness. Sour berry edge into the finish. Develops caramel sweetness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Creamy. But still not overly buff. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Decent enough. Enjoyable.

Half-pint, cask shared with Finn at Cardinals Hat. Clingy lacing from a patchy, white head. Clear mahogany coloured body. Moderate aromas of dark caramel, hints of dried fruits. Caramel fruity taste profile followed by a bittersweet tail. Nice Brit bitter version. (Worcester 31.01.2020).

Delt med Rune. Gyldenbrun med et lite rødskjær. Mokkafarget filmskum. Aroma av søte bær & malt. Smaken det samme. Litt streng tørr bærsmak etter hvert. Lett tørr avslutning.

Pours a clear coppery brown colour with a small off white head that settled to a thin layer. A malt, caramel aroma with a little fruit. A sweetish caramel malt taste, grainy bread, dark fruit flavours and an earthy hop bitterness in the finish.

Cask @ Wetherspoon’s Piccadilly, formerly the Manchester & County, Manchester. Golden ale with a small head. Crisp and sessionable with a very easy-drinking texture. It’s mildly hoppy in its nose with some fruit evident, more neutral in taste.

Cask at the Lord Moon of the Mall, JDW - London: pours clear copper-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Bready malts in the nose, faint leather, earth, berries. Light to medium sweet flavor with further ripening berries, hints of toasted toffee, toasted grains, light caramel, earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; pretty good carbonation. Finishes with pretty OK balance, more rich malt character, faint leathery dryness, more berries, cherry, mellow plum, brown bread, dry toffee. Nice and drinkable ESB.
