Brewed for the Tate Museum. This beer has matured in cask 248, a bourbon hogshead that aged a rare, one-off bottling of Springbank 21yr old whisky. It is dark and has notes of chocolate, coffee and peat - a fittingly delicious tribute to Hogarth’s Beer Street. The print celebrates the virtues of beer drinking as opposed to the evils depicted on Gin Lane.

Tower 42 Tasting. Thanks to Matteo. Almost clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Smooth but dry dark malts, pretty tangy. Tangy fruits. Light finish. A bit tangy for me.

Bottle shared to commemorate 5k from Daniel. Cheers to Matteo for this one. Pours deep brown with a frothy tan head. The nose holds lightly tangy dark fruits, faint cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with more tangy fruits, a little peat, salt, toffee. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Further tangy fruits to finish, faint smoke, salty meat. Not bad.

Bottle thanks, to MattyO. It pours darkest brown with a thick beige head. The nose is rich, juicy, dark fruits, fruit cake, Victoria sponge, candied peel, vanilla and toasted coconut. The taste is smooth, rich, toasted malt, tangy raspberry jam, raspberry pip, earthy, light acidity, burnt rocky road and fruit cake with a dry, toasted finish. Medium. - full body and fine carbonation. Nice rich jammy fruits. Decent.
