Bottle from Spirited Wines, Manchester. Clear dark brown with a creamy-frothy head. Has a very strong tasting mix of dark malts and hoppy fruits that gets overbearing.

42nd Floor Tasting. Thanks to Leighton. Almost clear dark brown beer, thin tan head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Thin dark malts, a little coffee. Some tartness here and an almost red wine like tang. Floralness and even a touch of sherbet before a sourish dry finish. Quirky off rather than horrible off.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in Manchester. Pours dark brown with a thick, creamy tan head. The nose has some tangy edge, a little lemon, light roast. Light sweet flavor, tangy, with some tart berries, undertones of dark malts. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Tangy finish, with more berry tartness, dark fruits, faint roast. Definitely a bit off.

Bottle at level 42. It pours black with a medium tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rich roast, dark chocolate, rocky road, dried cherry and vanilla. The taste is crisp, bitter, roasted malt, some tartness / acidity, tangy dark fruits, sour berry and earth with a dry, tangy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Too much tangy action.

Bottle at the level 42 tasting V1.5 05/04/16, thanks to LKS. Rich mahogany brown with a decent tan swirl. Nose is bitter orange, light charr, pissy soured fruit akin to a dark saison. Taste comprises astringent bitter notes, harsh, light charr, cocoa, tarte berry fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with harsh bitter vibes. Not great.
