Bottle shared at Cotteridge convention 05/03/2016. Thanks! The beer that will end you! A hazed yellow golden coloured pour with no head. Aroma is spicy green peppers, pepper, veg, beans, spicy chilli. Flavour is composed of of obscenely hot chilli, veg pepper. This is not only the hottest beer that i’ve had it’s probably the hottest thing i have ever tasted. Just heat not much else detected. Palate is painful, Just too hot.

Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano v2. Hazy gold. No head. Not a deal of aroma. Some light citrus. Slightly vegetal. Taste sets off ok, to the point you might think everything is going to be ok, but then a huge, burning chilli heat kicks in, and stays an age. I got away lightly, having only had a sip, and when the heat had worn off, got that slightly euphoric feeling that comes with tackling something this hot, but as for being a beer that is even remotely drinkable or enjoyable, this fails miserably!

Bottle split at CCii, thanks to Dave Up, 24/03/16. clear golden blonde with no head. Nose is spice, white pepper, light citric notes, grain, touch herbal ... not giving much away ! Taste packs a massive chilli kick in the face ... hottest I’ve had in a beer ! Full on green pepper, rising chilli heat, mild sweats. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Full on novelty chilli beer ... made one grown man pop to the shop next door for a pint of milk to aid recovery !!!

Bottle "thanks" to Dave at Cotteridge Convention 2016. It pours slightly hazy gold no head whatsoever. The aroma is relatively constrained....vegetal, spicy chilli, tangy action and light sweetness. The taste is an assault on the senses... big, dirty and full of so much chilli heat, lava. fiery pits of Mordor, straw and dull sweet white bread at a stretch. Finish is very long and lingering chilli heat. Hot boxed. Fun for a few sips, but you will pay the price if you drink more of this. One of the most memorable beverages of the evening.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. I will not say ’thanks’ for this beer, as it was a painful experience! Pours rich gold with minimal head. The aroma is actually pleasant, with notes of dried citrus fruits, floral hops, hay, green pepper, perhaps biscuit. The flavour, however, is unbearably spicy. One micro-sip and my mouth was burning, and it proceeded to burn for a further 20+ minutes, even after eating some other foods in an effort to assuage the pain. Mouthfeel: horrific burning. The heat just lingers and lingers. It’s terrible. Unless you really enjoy intense peppery heat, or you enjoy pain, I cannot recommend this beer to you. For me, it was not just completely undrinkable - it also inflicted a great deal of discomfort.
