Pale Ale brewed with raspberry fruit and strawberry Belma hops.

This refreshing summer beer is late hopped for low bitterness, and unfined to maximise flavour and retain its deep reddish hue. It’s prime time for raspberry picking, but if foraging isn’t your thing, why not kick back with our fruit bomb, Raspberry! Made with real fruit and packed with fruity hops, this is a beer you could mistake for one of your 5-a-day.

Pours a hazy pinkish melon colour with a medium sized very pale pink head. A tart fruity aroma; raspberry, grassy hops and grainy. Light body, frothy in the mouth and a bit watery. Tart raspberry and light malt flavours and a light dry fruity hop bitterness in the finish.

Bottle at level 42, thanks to Colin. It pours hazy pinkish with a pink - white head. The aroma is soft, quite mellow, juicy fruit and subdued raspberry character. The taste is quite soft, fruity berry vibe, soft raspberry, general sweetness, touch of acidity and lemon peel in the background. Finish is smooth. Medium body and soft carbonation. Easy going fruity beer,w high thankfully ain’t too sweet or artificial.

Bottle split at L42 Pissmass Masacre, from RSHW, 19/12/16. Light hazed on a reddish amber pour with a decent light crimson cap. Nose is tangy rapsberry, grass, spice, straw, grains, bread. Taste comprises toasted bread, raspberry jam, faint lemon drizzle, grass. Medium bodied, fine carboantion, semi drying close. Decent fruit beer ... nice palate cleanser.

500ml bottle straight from the brewer. Hazy reddish tinted colour with a creamy off-white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma: hoppy, definite hit of raspberry, light malt, funk. Taste: tart raspberry and moderately bitter hoppy, bready malt. The raspberry flavour is tart but not overpowering, and not too sweet like it might be if it were a lambic. Not really my sort of beer though, wouldn’t want another.

Keg at the RS Emporium - High Wycombe. Pours clear red with a frothy, pink head. Restrained aroma, just a hint of ripening raspberry. Light sweet flavour with a little juicy raspberry, some seeds, pale bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean in he finish, with further relaxed raspberry character, some other berries, low bitterness. Nice enough.
