Il en résulte une bête ambrée et fière, à la coiffe tenace, qui présente au nez des notes lambiquées, sur fond de griottes et de sucre d’orge. Son corps mince chante dès l’aube des notes vives, au fruité fort généreux, saisissante attaque qui éveille les sens. Le tout s’étire dans une finale vineuse, légèrement oxydative, véritable ode au rafraîchissement qui pousse à la récidive.

Bottle. Pours clear candy apple red, small fizzy white head, a bit of residual. Aroma is tart cherry, funk, basement. Flavor is light tart, medium funk, mineral notes. Light body. 4,7,7,4,13

Embouteillée le 27-09-2016, et bue le 07-05-2018... J'aurais donc dû la boire avant! C'est assez doux en bouche, et plutôt sucré. L'acidité est modérée, et l'effervescence est nulle. Le nez était un brin fumé...

750ml bottle shared with George and Ilya. Bottled 2016-08-17. Pours a bit hazy purple with a weak rose head. Aroma is sweet and sour cherries. Similar taste with lots of cherry notes. Moderately sour, a bit dry. Very good!

Bright red color, no head. Mild cherry aroma, no depth. Sour mouthfeel, a bit astringent, light cherry juicy, but not many dimensions. Ok beer.

Slightly hazy red, with a bubbly head. Abundant cherry nose. On the palate it has a lot of bright, fresh cherry and a fairly simple, clean lactic note. Good, but I have to admit I’d like another layer.

Bottled at Brother’s Beer Bistro, Ottawa. Bright hazy red, small head. Vinous red currant aroma. Cherries and vanilla. Hints of vinegar. Slender and well rounded. Juicy and complex. Low bitterness

Bouteille de 750 ml. Olfactif: Arômes de lambic avec de la poussière, du crin de cheval, le tout accompagné de cerises sûres et d’un petit boisé. Visuel: Rouge, petite mousse rose effervescente et éphémère. Gustatif: Les notes de lambic dominent avec la poussière, le crin de cheval, le vieux cuir, le tout agrémenté de cerises de terre et d’un petit boisé discrèt. En bouche, c’est doux, agréable effervescent et rafraîchissant. La finale nous donne une légère impression de salé qui traîne en bouche. Intéressant. Bien équilibré. Les cerises sont bien dosés. Agréable à boire.

Bottle split at Hackobock Tasting, thanks to Scoopey, 24/11/16. Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is damp straw, funk, pissy lemon rinds, dirt, cherry whisper, grains. Taste comprises fruit balsams, funk, damp cloth, tangy citric piss, lemon rinds, wood must, vinegar strokes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an acidic rasp. Decent enough sour.

Grand tasting at Craft Islington with Hackobock. Thanks to Paul. Hazy amber beer, a few lonely cream colour bubbles. Dry palate, decent carbonation. Tangy woody sour fruits. A sour red/brown winey tang. Finishes light and dry with more sour fruits. Not bad.
