Bottled. Rubyish black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma ia coffee, toffee, some ripe fruits, alcohol and mild notes of yeast. Flavour is rather similar in a good balance, with some slight spiciness from the yeast giving it a nice twist. Quite a pleasant brew in a strange form of bottle.

Grand tasting at Craft Islington with Hackobock. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is airy and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dry dark malts, unsweet dark chocolate. Tangy dark fruits. Spicy fruity whiskey on the back end. More dark chocolate on the spicy finish. A tad dry but well flavoured.

Bottle split at Hackobock Tasting, thanks to Kenwold, 24/11/16. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose carries a sweet vibe, dark malts, spice, charr, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, subtle bourbon notes, spice, toffee, dates, stoned fruits. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok impy if a touch medicinal at times.

Bottle at the Hackobock tasting, thanks to Kenny. It pours opaque black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, toasted marshmallow, coconut, rocky road and dried cherry. The taste is rich roasted malt, charred wood, leather, alcohol boost, warming alcohol, cocoa and dried fruits. Medium - full body and moderate carbonation. Pretty filthy stuff. Perhaps a touch harsh, but not bad.

Aroma is sweaty da k malts, liquorice, jammy fruits, blackberry. Flavour is composed of bitter liquorice, brown sugars, tangy, little soy, tangy red berry. Palate is semi sweet, sour, woody tannin, grape. Lowish carbonation.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Mitch. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. Some raw alcohol in the nose, burnt wood, dry cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with more ample alcohol, wood, raisin, earth. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with nips of stewed apples, more dry cocoa, intense alcohol, woody dryness. Novel.
