A refreshing amber beer with a fruity aroma and a sweetish malty palate. Its over-lying bitterness makes it an excellent quaffing bitter for the festive season.
This Beer is brewed using Pearl Pale Malt, Crystal Malt, Wheat Malt, Challenger Hops and Golding Hops.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a light haze. White head. Nose - orange and malt notes. Taste - more orange barley water. Light pith finish. Palate - light bodied and dry through the end. Some creaminess in the middle. Overall - ok.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell] A hazy amber pour with a thin white head; slightly spicy aroma with perhaps a whiff of cinnamon; sweet in the mouth with a grainy taste and body; then a thin dry finish with a peppery bitterness. Rahter odd.

Market Porter. Clear amber beer, good cream coloured head. Light palate, softish with mild fine carbonation. Nice! Creamy malt. Mild tangy orange hops. Not bitter! Semi dry finish. Just a whisper of sulphur but otherwise a decent Christmas ale.

Cask @ JDW Elgin 241212
Copper, clear, bubbly thin frothy head
Aroma of very faint fruity malts, almost nothing
Taste of caramel malts, sweet caramel, soft fruity malts, touch of dark honey, reasonable flavour, easy drinking, no faults
Palate - Thinnish body, light bitter finish
Overall - Just above average Spoons beer, not bad, not a Christmas beer apart from the pump clip

Hand pulled pint at the Crown Inn, Oakengates Dec 2011. Golden, light amber body with an off-white head on top, doesn’t give much lacing but tried to stay the course. Aroma of citrusy hops and an undercurrent of mild malts. The Beer is brewed using Pearl Pale Malt, Crystal Malt, Wheat Malt, Challenger Hops and Golding Hops. The taste is hop bitter foremost, but not overly hopped, those malts counteract the hops nicely. A good, easy to drink beer, I like this breweries beers but rarely see them in my neck of the woods.
