Cask @ Beckett’s Bank, Leeds. Golden with a creamy head. Has a light dry floral aroma and taste, is light textured with a late lingering bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol October 2016. Golden in colour with a moderately sized, off-white, head. Aroma of stone fruits, Wadworth’s house yeast and some leafy hops. oak, and toasty malts. Flavour was sweetish with cereal malts, some fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Booking Office. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light sweet honey malt. Taste is cornflakes, some light bitterness, hints of orange. Light tangy finish. Ok.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - amber with a very thin head. Nose - some honey but generally elusive. Taste - more honey and malt. Honey nut cornflakes. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - not very refreshing.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Amber with a tight cream head; fresh grassy aroma; spicy in the mouth with some chilli heat on the tongue (where does that come from?); then a dry, slightly sour finish.

Cask handpull at Crosse Keys JDW London. Clear deep gold coliur disappeared white head. Some malt some yeast character. Condition could be better. A yeasty golden ale. Not much hop. Not great.

Cask at the booking office. Pours clear golden, nose is floral, toffee, light spice, taste is herbal, malty, toffee, juicy lemon.

Cask hand pull at the ledger building Jdw. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting off white head speckled head. Aroma is sweet raw grains, bread, with faint tropical fruits, apple, mango. Flavour is composed of raw grains, tangy apple, wheat, grass, tangy finish. Palate is semi sweet raw grainy, moderate carbonation. A bit rough round the edges.
