Cask @ Bon Accord. Dark brown colour, tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts and some fruit. Flavour of roasted malts and coffee. A bit bland, but otherwise good drinkable.

Devil-black with russet highlights. No head. Black malts with a touch of liquorice in aroma and taste added by a hoppy accent (Half pint hand pulled at Bricklayers Arms in Putney, London 18.03.2008).

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and a bit of spice - nothing too potent. Medium-bodied; Strong roasty flavours dominate the taste with nuts and a bit of licorice showing through. Aftertaste has more malt than anything else, with a happy sweetness fading out the taste. Overall, a good stout - a bit light, almost like a mild...but very nice to try! I sampled this pulled from a cask at Market Porter in Borough, London, England on 09-March-2008.

Cask at Archibald Simpson, Aberdeen, ”The Full Moon Beer Festival” 20. October. Almost black body with a rather small beige head. Not so much aroma here, some roast coffee. Flavours is a quite ordinary stout, roasty and dry. Short aftertaste. I suspect my pint where a bit over the top regarding this cask.

Cask handpull at Folkestone Wetherspoon’s. Very deep ruby, with bubbly beige head. Maybe I have got to get used to UK yeasts and beers again after 2 weeks in the Pacific North West. Some nice choc malts. bit of charcoal. Some dark fruits. Just lacks depth and body.
