Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Thanks to Paul. Hazy deepish amber beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Soft airy malts, mild spice. Mild tangy fruits. Whisper of chocolate. Light dry finish. A typically conflicted dark saison but tasty enough.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Paul. Pours clearish brown-gold with a creamy, light khaki head. Moderate phenols in the nose, some dried berries, lightly toasted wheat. Medium sweet flavour with some grape, more berries, gummy fruits, minimal bitterness, some dough. Medium bodied with average carbonation and velvety texture. Warming finish with continuing ripening, dried berries, bread, some crackers. Enjoyable.

Bottle shared at level 42. It pours murky brown with a thick light tan head. The aroma is barnyard, funky, must, toffee, brown sugar, fruit cake and spice. The taste is musty, dirty, funky, bitter - sweet, brown bread, toffee, metallic, spice, leather, soapy citrus and alcohol boost with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Pretty musty and funky. A touch rough around the edges.
