Bottle at L42, thanks to the Wingman. It pour hazy red - brown with a massive beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, toasty, brown bread, rivita, spice, earth and dried berry. The taste is crisp, bitter, earthy, wood, bready, rivita, spice and cocoa with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit lacklustre. My least favourite version of this beer. Bring back the more flavoursome and higher abv versions!

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Dave. Somewhat murky amber – brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent carbonation. Sweetish malts, a little caramel. Bitter seltzer and bitter tang. Light dry finish. Bitter tangy linger. Thoroughly odd and quite unpleasant.
