Bottle split at L42, thanks to Fergus, 14/11/17. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan cap. Nose is tangy dark fruits, cocoa powder, toffee, spice. Taste comprises dark fruits, chocolate biscuit, cant really pick out too much in the way of coffee, mellow roast. Medium bodied, spritzy and overcarbed, semi drying close. Sippable but perhaps a light infection here?

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergoose. Clear deep brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, light malt cream sweetness. Coffee is sweet and light and well integrated and a little fruity. Airy finish. Fluffy all round but quite nice!

Bottle at L42 - thanks to Fergus. It pours jet black with a massive gushy tan head. The aroma is earthy roast, bitter - sweet, cooca, coffee, rocky road and coffee cake. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, ashy, charred wood, coffee grounds, burnt brown toast and cookie odugh with a toasty finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Carbonation is a bit overbearing. Fair enough.

Taster at Vultures’ Lane. Very dark. Surprisingly refreshing, without the creaminess I expect from a coffee stout, with lots of coffee and a very clean finish.
