Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Coventry, picked up at Merton Beer Festival, consumed at home Friday 2nd March 2018 during the second day of the meet up of 'The Beast from the East' and 'Storm Emma'. Cooking the Ultimate Chicken Shawarma, Cumnock Fried Padron Peppers and and Polenta Chips from Feast book. Pours hazy gold amber with a white head. Wonderfully hoppy from the off, a nice zesty bite, this certainly belies its strength, its not heavy, cloying or too sweet. We're both hugely impressed with this, even finishes off a touch dry, a little grapefruit noted. Very good. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Bottle from Merton Beer Festival 2018 and drunk at home. Hazy dark amber colour lasting cream head. Resin aroma. Then almost caramel fudge sweet. Then a big slap of bitterness on the finish. Well it's a whole meld of flavours. Resin pine then fudge then bitterness. All delivering a good slice of alcohol. Entertaining if unsubtle.

Bottle. Orange amber color. Aroma of grassy pine, caramel, orange and apricot. Taste has bitter grassy hop, orange zest, caramel and some pine. Perhaps a bit too old already, but really bitter anyway.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Cloin. Pours unclear orange with a frothy, white head. The nose holds ripening citrus, pale bread, mango, melon. Medium sweet flavour, a little boozy, with mouthy grassy-piney bitterness, crackers, jammy oranges. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, resinous, fairly bitter, more ripe citrus fruits. So so.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. KeyKeg. This may be batch 9 but sadly weirdybeardy.com is no longer as helpful as it once was in this matter! Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and fairly dry and has good fine carbonation. Mild minerals. Smooth and sweet malts, little creamy sweetness. Good crisp piney hop. Mango and spicy orange. Mild tropical fruits, Spicy bitterness. Light tropical finish. Very nice. Lovely on KeyKeg. Cool not cold and nice natural carb. Bitter spicy linger.
