Kasteel Tripel is a strong blonde specialty beer brewed with a high proportion of aroma hops. The fruitiness of the hops and the impressions of malt and cloves give the beer character. This triple has a mildly bitter taste and appeals to many beer lovers.

Bottle at home. Aroma of ripe fruits, yeast, sweet malt, spicy notes, alcohol. Flavour is sweet with just a slight hint of bitterness. Body is disappointingly medium considering the ABV. A very sweet alcoholic Tripel, not undrinkable but not my kind of beer either.

Dec. 2010: Bottle, at the Manneke Pis, Tenerife. Served with correct glass. ABV was 11%. Hazy amber to orange colour, moderate white head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of honey and spices. Spicy medium sweet flavour, hints of honey, quite nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'AH XL', best before June 2027. Clear, golden with a large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, rather yeasty-spicy, quite fruity-floral aroma of clove, orange peel, banana, honey and pear. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, fairly yeasty-spicy, gently fruity-floral taste of grains, clove, honey, vanilla, orange peel, pear and some banana, followed by a medium long, quite bitter, gently boozy finish. Medium to full body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Fairly intense Tripel, a bit too boozy for my liking but other than that quite nice.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Yeasty,malty, fruity esters. Taste: Yeasty, malty, fruity notes of stone fruit, light hints of banana. Hoppy backbone. Moderate bitterness, over moderate sweet. Medium body, average carbonation. Boozy hints. Ok.

Eingetrübte goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, würziger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, würzig, fruchtig mit Karamell, leicht grasig hopfig. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
