A tech-inspired dry-hopped India Pale Ale from America’s first craft brewery. In 1975, Anchor reintroduced the art of dry-hopping in America with the release of Liberty Ale. Continuing our rich tradition of innovation, we engineered the Odeprot, a custom vessel that continually filters the beer during the dry-hopping process. The flow-through hopping ensures maximum extraction of the essential oils and resins for big, hoppy flavors and aromas. We load up the tank with hundreds of pounds of hops to obtain all those tropical, pine forest and citrus zest aromas in our new ODEPROT IPA.

Floor 42, share a bottle or two! Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry and with reasonable fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts, a touch of grain. Ripe orange and orange peel. Tangy skewed bitter floralness, vague rubbery vibe. Dry pithy bitter finish. Quite awkward and one of the weakest US DIPAs I've had in awhile.

Bottle shared on Level 42 19/07/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A hazed dark orange coloured pour with a loose dirty white head. Aroma is semi sweet, floral orange, pollen, hint of caramel, little jammy fruits. Flavour is composed of OS semi sweet. Nutty malts, jammy fruits, orange rind, berries. Palate is semi sweet. Rounded, moderate carbonation, grassy hop. Yeah not bad. Spicy hop.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Ken. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds dry crackers, citrus peel, pale grains. Light sweet flavour with more dry crackery pale malts, pale grains, some citrus rind, hay, white grape. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Further crackers in the finish, some jammy citrus, white grape, straw, grass. Not bad.

Bottle at level 42. It pours hazy orangey - amber with medium off-white. The aroma is sweet, oily, candied orange, tangerine, Cointreau, brioche and a touch of paper. The taste is bitter - sweet, oily, tangy, marmalade, orange, tangerine, icing sugar, warming alcohol, sugary, straw and alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fairly basic DIPA.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 19/07/17. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is light orange peel, straw, biscuit, grains, thin aromas. Taste comprises vanilla, grains, orange peel, bread, biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness. Bizzare DIPA ... more like a ramped up ESB ... drinks below the ABV but pretty dull and muted.

Pours hazy deep gold into a snifter. Bright white soapy head with excellent retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sour caramel and weed aromas. Sourdough and caramel upfront turning to sour tangerine and overripe melon in the dry, lasting finish.
