This is an refreshingly Alt-ertnative pale. Top fermented but distinctly lager like thanks to the Altbier yeast and pilsner malt. Dry hopped with Citra for a fresh, zingy finish

Bottle shared on Level 42 14/06/2017. Many thanks to me. From Beer ritz. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is light dusty grains, light biscuit, paper, spicy hop, hedgerow hop. Palate is frothy, spritzy carbonation, dry finish. Flavour is composed of light grains woody, spicy hop, little grassy, pencil shavings. Underwhelming.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Fergus, 14/06/17. Murky orange with a well appointed off white head. Nose is citric tinged straw, light citric tones, light peppery spice, grains. Taste is light caramel, grains, spice, biscuit, caramel, orange peel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Not great ... clumsy stuff.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours lightly hazy gold with a thick, frothy white head. The nose holds pale grains, lemon peel, straw, a little yeast. Light to medium sweet with juicy citrus, bready pale malts, a little honey, tangerine, alcohol. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Decent finish, more citrus, some peach, soft bitterness. Enjoyable.

Bottle at L42. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, zingy, lemonade, candied lemon, sugary, straw and bread. The taste is crisp, dry, fairly clean, stare, bread, toasty grain, lemonade, pithy, zesty, orange rind and a touch of raw alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Actually a bit hot. Not bad anyhow.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Zesty, citrusy, fruity hoppy aroma, hints of orange, lemon, mandarine kernels, a touch of red berries and sour cherry, minimally grainy, malty background. Taste is bitter hoppy, slightly citrusy, hints of lemon, lemon tea, slightly toasty. malty background; rather plain bitter hoppy finish. Kind of dry hopped Altbier afflicted with Lager clumsiness.

Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light, dry and finely crisp. Smooth malts, Bubblegum and banana esters. Sweet floralness into light citric peel. Light dry finish. Quite estery. Belgian lager?
