This HUGE IPA was inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat & his recent exhibition at the Barbican. Huge hop-dosing and a touch of Munich in the grist gives a bit of chewy sweetness to balance out the massive hop character. This brew is mega-dank & outrageously juicy!

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Dorata carica, limpida, schiuma bianca media persistente. Al naso note di malto, biscotto, resina, mango, mandarino, lychee. In bocca ha un attacco maltato deciso con amaro medio abbastanza lungo, l'alcol si sente un po' troppo. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Un po' old style, non in perfette condizioni.

Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and has mild minerally crispness. Smooth malts, mildly sweet. Good cooling pine, mildly minty. Modest spicy bitterness. Touch of orange and orange peel. Smooth piney finish. Clean and drinkable and not full of gods.knows what to make it cloudy.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the Bottle Shop. Pours mostly clear, rich honey-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The nose has some bready pale malts, ripening citrus, melon and peach, faint pine. Medium sweet flavour with some meaty citrus, orange, moderate rindy bitterness, some oily pine, pale grain. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Resinous finish, lightly warming, more bready malts, faint marmalade, more ripening citrus, oranges, mango, apricot. Not bad overall. Maybe a touch old school, but it comes together well.

Keg at the CP&K, 08/03/18. Clear golden copper with a well presented light beige covering that retains well. Nose is bitter orange, straw, grapefruit zest, toasted grains, light pine. Taste comprises candied fruit peel, orange pith, grapefruit, light pine flicker, melon, soft breads, light dank hop plunge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough easy drinking IPA with a light dank edge.
