This beer was made from surplus, toasted bread saved by The Felix Project, the charity launched during the Standard's 2016 Food for London campaign. The aroma on this beer is like freshly baked bread with kicks of citrus. Accents of summer-fruit notes & the great green outdoors make it even more refreshing, complementing its clean crispness. EKG & Willamette hops give bursts of lemon, spice & cedar wood whilst fruitier Ella smooths the flavour profile. More than half the proceeds from this beer goes to supporting the charity.

Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to MrTipple. Pours clear, foamy, white head. The aroma holds pale bread, pine needles, ripening citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavour with more bready pale malts, lemon rind, hay. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with sweet, bready pale malts, a little warmth, citrus fruits. A little simplistic but not bad.

Keg at CBC Mary Axe, 27/10/17. Very light haze on a golden yellow pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is bready, straw, tangerine, light floral notes. Taste comprises toasted grains, hint of vanilla, bread dough, floral bite, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Probably the best of the recycled bread beers I've had to date !

Cock Tavern. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth, modest minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a trace of sweet malt cream. Notably nettley hops and mild hop spice. Touch of ripe citrus. Light semi dry finish leaves a mild bitter linger. Probably nicerer on KeyKeg.

Cask at Cock Tavern. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, toasted grain, bready malts, sweat, candy, tangerine and orange marmalade. The taste is dry, bitterish, toasted grain, cereal, very bready, wood, light spice, hay, straw and a touch of resin with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Condition is a bit lacking. Aroma is alright, but the taste is too malty for my liking.
