Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of wet hay and malt. The flavor is sweet with wet hay and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

330ml bottle watching England vs Belgium. Pours a misty yellow, patchy white head. Aroma is fruity, citrussy, lemon, orange. Taste covers similar ground, lots of nice fruity strepsel moments.

Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester as part of their Wylam Tap Takeover. Mid- to dark gold and slightly hazy with some white head and a bit of lacing. Grassy aroma with some lemon balm, grapefruit and medicinal herbs. Juicy bittersweet taste with the spiciness of the grain adding some intensity. Some sourness in the finish. Some natural carbonation lifts the body. Picy and slightly soapy aftertaste. I've never liked beers brewed with spelt so I'm not sure if this is what takes the edge off for me. At any rate it isn't one of my favourite Wylam beers although it's certainly competent.

33cl bottle. Bbe 04.06.18. The beer poured orange in color, thin white head. Some oranges in the nose, slight sourness (from the rye?) floral and citrusy notes as well. Juicy flavors, malts and citrus, tangerines mostly. Light to medium bodied with an abrupt finish. Again slight sourness in finish. Not really working for me.
