Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 01/12/24. Murky deep amber topped with an off white cap that thins to spotting. Nose is orange marmalade, herb, toffee, floral, dusty hops. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, mellow tropical fruit esters, light booze, pine nip, melon. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Not really what you want for the style .. a little overly sweet, cloying, lacking bitterness, direction and balance. Not a disaster but certainly one to scroll past!

11th December 2019 Pours a Hazy dark amber, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet malts, a light creamy sweetness, given the darkish colour, a remarkable lack of toffee - caramel. A notably candy fruity piney hop kick off. Sugar dusted overripe citrus. Smooth finish with a minor undertone of bitterish citrus peel. Pow! Say Torrside, or me by proxy! Some light green hop savoury thang. Remarkable dipa, nothing is what you expect but still somehow it is a Dipa. We are amused. I think!

Keg at IMBC 2018, session 6. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Pretty sweet, lots of ripe citrus, low bitterness, nips of melon. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, notes of white bread, alcohol, ripe lemon. Not bad.

Bottle direct from brewery, consumed at home Thursday 1st March 2018 during the meet up of 'The Beast from the East' and 'Storm Emma' This wouldn't win a beer beauty contest, however as many people say quite correctly you don't drink with your eyes. It's muddy brown in colour and on first taste strikes me as being more akin to a really hoppy Barley Wine than a DIPA or TIPA. Plenty of sweetness, lots of malt but really, really hoppy. Nice softness, a nice minty, thrusty, tingle. Boozy fumes up the nose, tongue numbing bitterness. Good. A7 A2 T8 P4 Ov15 3.6
