Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 19/11/20. Light black with a big old khaki cap that stays for the show. Nose is dusty hops, light pine, faint liquorice, toffee, charr. Taste comprises bitter roast, charr, red berry fruit esters, pine needle, cola cubes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough CDA.

[33cl can from Beer52.] An opaque black pour with a loose cream head; rich citrus and pine aroma; immediate strong resinous bitterness in the mouth with burnt grains; then some bitter chocolate leading to a long bitter finish with some fresh resinous hops. This certainly refreshes the tastebuds.

Rocky light brown head left a froth on a dark brown still body. Malt, iron & rye aroma. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated with a clean back. Malt, coal, iron, tinny & tobacco tastes with bitter hoppy finish. Deece.
