Medium dry, this still cider bursts with apple flavours and has a depth of character that only comes from generations of experience.

Cask at The Railway Inn, Sandford. Lovely pub and the home of Thatchers. This cider was spot on for a boiling day despite dulled senses. Boozy rotting apples aroma. Gold and cold and still look. So incredibly smooth, like drunk copella. (26/5/26).

Hand-pulled half-pint in Pheasant Inn & Brewpub, Wellington Shropshire on 3rd August 2022. Apples, Big Apples, loads of them in this semi-dry and tasty cider.

On draught at the Old Horse, Leicester. Light gold, hazy. A big fluffy white head. Aroma not so much of apples as of chemicals and metal. Taste is improved. It's apples, but dirty. Man, something ain't right here. It's like a glitch robot was forced to replicate cider after 'drinking' examples of famous ciders. Issues abound.

On tap at Clothiers Arms, Stroud. Clear golden, small white head. Apple juice, sweet, bit sticky, some light tartness. Too sweet for me. Light to medium bodied.

Bag-in-a-box at the Bear Hotel, Chippenham. Yellow-gold. Over-ripe apples, some vomit: the hint of tart funkiness in the background wasn't nearly enough to save it.

Box @ JDW Shrewsbury Hotel. Pours clear gold, medium sweet apple fruit aroma. Taste is pleasant, clean moderately sweet apple fruit, with a typically Thatchers-like character. Quite full-flavoured fruit presence, well balanced and easy-drinking. Yeah it’s decent.
