Saazbier is a blend of saisons brewed in late spring with pils malt, wheat, oats and a lot Saaz-descendant hops. A slow fermentation occurred in French oak white wine barrels with our house cultures. Before bottling, the blend was lightly dry-hopped with Saaz, creating this lively, aromatic crusher.

Bottle: Poured a dirty yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic malt notes with some dry Brett notes with light spicy/peppery notes is quite enticing. Taste is a mix of dry rustic malt notes with some spicy/peppery notes and light dry Brett notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Wonderful saison and something I wish I would have access to more regularly.

Has a nice lighter yellow foggy body and decent foam. Aroma of orange rind and soft lemon and wheat. Flavour is good lambic character, lemony yeast and soft citrus hops. Finish is a little muddy, but otherwise very nice.
