Bottle thanks to LKS. It pours dark brown with a small tan head. The aroma is earthy, umami, liquorice, sticky, cocoa, bourbon biscuit and sticky vibes. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy roast, unami, slick, liquorice, salted caramel, cocoa, plain chocolate and some alcohol warmth with a drying, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent umami vibes.

Bottle shared in Hackney - picked up at the brewery a few years back. Pours clear brown with a stiff, frothy beige head. The nose gives off some oxidation, brown sugar, burnt toast, cocoa, mild roast. Medium sweet flavour with some boozy notes, more burnt toast, earthy hops, bittersweet cocoa, dried berries. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, with more oxidation, brown sugar, leathery berries, earthy bitterness, chocolate. Overall, pretty good stuff. Has aged rather well.

Flavour is composed of medium sweet malts, cakey, jammy fruits, light oxidisation, stale grains.. Palate is medium sweet, cakey, moderate carbonation, oily,. Not bad.

Chez Smith bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton for the bottle. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and a little dry, reasonable. Mellow brown malts, little tangy chocolate malts. Dry spice. Tangy dark fruits. Tangy finish. Enough here to amuse but it's not singing.
