Dan's Stag. Volunteer. Bristol. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and fairly dry, modest fine carbonation. Malts are mildly grainy and semi sweet. Orange peel bitterness. Whisper of lemon. Dry finish. Bitter linger. It's fine.

Cask at the Volunteer - Bristol. Pours clear, bright gold with a tight, creamy white head. Faint apple notes in the nose, citrus peel, pale grains. Light sweet flavour with more grain husk, crunchy draw, lemon peel. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Aggressive bitterness in the finish - grass, rind. Slightly astringent. So so overall.

Cask at Volley Brizzle. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, pine needles, gooseberry, white grape, biscuit and bread. The taste is crisp, day, bitter, pithy, zesty, biscuit, peppery spice, soapy, pine needles and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Fair enough.
