Biere De Garde aged in oak casks with raspberries. Dry sour and funky but the raspberry is still very much present. If you like a puckering sour this is the beer for you.

Bottle, 2015 vintage. Thanks Clownisseur - sorry this took so long! Pours clear candy apple red with a small white head and minimal lacing. Aroma is nice funky raspberries, musty and seedy, basement aromas mingle with fruit. Flavor is medium tart, medium funk, nice raspberry notes but not a fruit beer. Great musty horse blanket funk without trending to mushroom. Medium body, low carbonation. The time in bottle has done this beer well. Its pretty grate. From the reviews it looks like 2016 might have been a miss for this beer, but 2015 was a home run. Kudos.

Bottle split at RBWG ’16 hotel lobby share, thanks to b3SHN, 01/02/16. Hazed light red with a decent crimson cap. Nose is red berry must, straw, tangy fruit rinds, subtle barrel notes. Taste comprises zingy pink berry burst, light acidic bite, oak, wood must, funk, tarte raspberries. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light acidic rise in a drying close. Decent well balanced sour.

Bottle. Pour is a deep red with no head and musty aromas of light raspberry. Flavor is very nice but the sour flavor is a bit of a green olive tartness. It works pretty well with the fruit and body in this beer though.

Lovely raspberry presence. Tiny bit astringent perhaps which gets a bit harsh on the palette with the acidity. Nice fruited sour!

Bottle shared during RBWG 2016 - cheers! Pours bright pink with a frothy white head. The nose holds juicy, tart berries, soft funk, cherry, grape. Light sweet flavor with assertive acidity, mild woody dryness, more cherry, raspberry pits. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Highly cleansing and refreshing on the finish, more bright and tart berries. Good stuff.
