375ml bottle from Benny’s place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a mostly clear dark brown colour with a thin, broken off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, smoky salty bacon. The flavour is light liqourice bitter, salty, with a smooth, rich, roasty, chocolate, liquorice, boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. Very drinkable. Didn’t get any cabbage :-)

(Bottle) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread, prunes, liquorice, treacle and a touch of tamarind. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, liquorice, black rye bread, prunes, black pepper, soy sauce, a touch of shellfish or oyster shells, anise, hints of smoke and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite complex and really tasty, with a mild oyster touch coming through. Very nice.

Bottle. Pretty much black with a large light tan head. Aroma of mocha, smoke, seaweed, caramel, orange peel. Full, creamy texture. Sweetish but not as sweet as suggested by the aroma - partly that's much heavier roast, partly some bitterness and a nice jolt of pepper at the end. Not obviously oysters, although it's a bit briny: comes across more as seaweed/ iodine. Clearly strong but there's no overt alcohol. In the last 18 months I've stopped thinking of Garage Project as good but over-hyped.

From a 650ml bottle on 24/12/2019 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours not far from black with a small head. The nose presents strongly of oyster with some chocolate in the mix. There's a lot going on on the sip - chocolate, cocoa, fudge, soy, licorice and again lots of oyster. It's very sweet up front but finishes with a reasonably sharp, lightly spicy bitterness, with some booze in the background. The mouthfeel is a touch syrupy and the carbonation a touch fizzy. This is big, quite complex dessert sipper, which drinks every bit of its 12 per cent. Very nice stuff. And a great packaging too.

Flaska från SB. En riktigt maffig pjäs med stor kropp och ganska kärva rostade toner. riktigt gott men saknar lite finess.
