Bottle @ home, via trade with bytemesis. Thanks Mike! Pours a clear dark orange appearance with a nice light brown head. A bit oxidized, light caramel, cracker/bready, light citrusy aroma. Somewhat tangy, goopy, toasted malty, orange fruity, somewhat tangy, sweet, earthy/herbal flavor. This seems to be a bit old, unfortunately.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange with frothy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is toast and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with sweet malt and raisin flavor. Decent.

Bottle at a ChrisO tasting, London. Pours cloudy gold with a creamy, white foam head. Lemon and grain on the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor wit big hay character, some light grass, white sugar. Medium bodied with average to high carbonation. Grassy bitter finish, more sugar and grains. Kind of odd. Not great. Has an incongruous bitterness and it’s also too sweet. I like this style but this beer misses on a few fronts.

Tap. Pours hazy amber with a small off white head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is caramel, yeast and light spice. Flavor is the same, medium sweet and lightly bitter with muted spices. Finish is lightly bitter, a bit metallic. Body is quite full for the style and creamy in the mouth.

The ChrisO small midweek tasting. Very hazy amber beer, fluffy white head. Light semi dry palate. Mildly sweet malt with sweet herbs. Mild soft finish. Just a mellow herby beer. All right.

Bottle at Chriso - 25/09/12 thanks to Ken/Madmitch76 for this one. Hazy amber pour with a bubbly off-white head. Earhty farmy tones on the nose, light citurs, orchard fruit, piss. Taste follows nose with light sour tones to the fruity mash. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a tarte finish.

Bottle thanks to Ken at ChrisO. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is citrus pith, papaya, watermelon, fennel, spice and earth. The taste is hay, straw, herbal, earth, spice, fennel, underlying sweetness and some metal, with a pretty dry finish. Medium body and overly carbonated. I definitely couldn’t drink much of this. Doesn’t really work for me.

I really enjoy this beer - especially as it warms in the glass. Pours an amber/burnt-gold that is clear with a white head. Head was full and frothy, but with large bubbles it dissipated quickly. Aroma of sweet grain and slight melonoidin with perfume and flowers. Taste is well balanced floral and malt, with some chewy bread and an orange background.
