Following the Blond and Brown Bink, the brewery launched a third type of beer: the Blossom Bink, on the occasion of the 50th consacration of the blossoms in 2000! We brew this seasonal beer every year in the same period (spring-summer). The ingredients are: five types of malts, one type of Belgian hops, brewing water, yeast, honey from Sint-Truiden and pear syrup from Vrolingen. It has a fruity taste with a slightly sweet tone and a long fruity and soft bittery aftertaste.

S6L4F2T3O: Attention-grabbing name and label 11.2 oz. Appears thick and sticky in the glass, iced tea tint. Tangs volatility strong and it is at 7%. It builds to a sweet, nearly sickening, bouquet. Creamy, fine looking foam ring floating around the inside annulus. No head, per se, but it does have a tea froth skin. Some pear fragrance starts to push thru. Taste is strapping and alky like, syrupy at times. Not what I was expecting with all that pink and b-stuff on the label. Why did I ever think this was gonna be a fruit lambic? I think some gunk from the bottom of the bottle swirled into the last drops in my tumbler. Peculiar carbonation, wants to be audacious but stays laid back. First creamy, then flat on the palate. Near the end of the session, the pear perfume begins to engulf. Goes down reasonably easy without retch reflex. Finish is medicinal in temperament. Doesn’t stand a chance against orval. Go figger.

ar: sweet, light brown, small light brown head, fl: nice caramel, slight roasted stuff, slight aged beer, unfortunately also some sunburned beer, generally nice though.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Pear syrup and honey. Reddish brown colour with thin beige head. Sweetish pleasing aroma, some hop and sweetish fruit. A pretty drinkable beer to be honest. I mean there’s a hint of pear, but the best things are the flavours in the mouth. Dry malt and then a fairly good stinging hop on finish. I like it a lot. Really lovely feel on the swallow. Good malty fruit/hop mix and balance.

Light hazy amber coloured, medium sized pale beige head, candy sugar and light fruity nose. Light roasty malty and very fruity taste with notes of berries, spices and burnt sugar. Mild caramel honeyish finish. Interesting but a bit too sweet.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy and golden deep orange to brown with a creamy and light tan head. Dense caramel malt aroma, also light fruity to flowery. Flavour is dark malty, roasted and slight metallic. Light yeasty touch. Followed by a mild fruity finish gliding down from the dense caramel everlasting flavour into a smooth and wellbalanced finish.

Sampled @ Pint Meibockfestival. Hazy amberblond colour, aroma is sour, flowers and malts. Taste is sour honey, sweet floral notes, caramel, malts. Fairly high carbonation.

Thought it was a fruit beer. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity (some berries?) and yeasty. Flavour is honey and pears. Not bad.

Finish has flavor of herbs, plastic, hayish hops and alcohol. Aftertaste is bitterish mixed with sticky sweetness. Odd, and not really my cup of tea.

Pours deep amber into a Tumbler. Tan micro head with excellent retention leaves no lacing as it slowly recedes. Pear, date and plum aromas. Crisp upfront, but quickly turns thin..a little too thin. Fruity honeysuckle and pear flavors lead to a medium bitter finish.

Bottle. Cloudy amber / red color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is light malty and hoppy, moderate pear, caramel, bubble gum, honey. Flavor is moderate to heavy swwet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft.
