Schramm’s Madeline is our boysenberry mead, made with whole boysenberries and Michigan honey. A cross between European raspberry, common blackberry and American dewberry, the boysenberry has a unique tannic flavor which combines wonderfully with carefully selected premium honey. The resulting mead is thick, jammy and extremely flavorful and pours dark purple with a very smooth, lightly tart finish. This mead is a tribute to our favorite, tiny release to date, Madeline June Schramm Naeger. Ten percent of sales of this mead are donated to the Royal Oak Beaumont NICU, where Madeline spent nearly the first three months of her life. She was beautiful when she was born, but we know she will continue to mature beautifully with age.

Bottle: Poured a dark purple-ish color mead. Aroma of strong raspberry and blackberry notes balanced against some great honey notes. Taste is also a mix of strong raspberry and blackberry notes balanced against some sweet honey notes. Body is full with an oily texture and light alcohol notes. Really enjoyable with a perfect balance of flavors and not too many residual sugar notes.

Bottle at Peders Turns 8 - Vol 2, Copenhagen 07/12/2024 (Batch #07 - 6th Birthday) Sweet berry fruity with a supportive sweet honey and caramel backing, nice vibrant berry fruity throughout, light floral and herbal accents into the berry infused finish. Lovely stuff.

50 cl bottle @ Nisha Craft Riga Aroma has sweet honey and some currant juice. Flavour has sweet honey, berry juice, intense fruitiness. Alcohol is present but does not disturb. Throat-warming and very intense, yet somewhat easy to drink. Gets some sugary sweet notes at the end of the glass.
