Bottle, many thanks to friend Trev for bringing this back from his Alsace holiday, cheers mate, consumed 28-10-08 Pours mid-amber with off white head. This is big on toffee and fudgey flavours the alcohol shows but never intrudes, lovely beer and I’m getting fruit and reminders of those banana toffee swirl sweets, not bad at all.

bottle. Clear amber colour, tiny head, fery fruity nose with hints of apples. Slightly malty, flavours of apple and apricot, very fruity. Overall dry and hoppy, rather light-bodied for 8% ABV.

(33cl bottle, courtesy of Saarlander) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a short, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly acidic fruity and nutty malty nose, slightly sugary with a touch of band-aid-like, slightly spicy phenols. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malt-accented, nutty taste with fruity accents; quite slim and pretty short fruity malty finish with some phenolic spice. Easy-going, not too complicated brew.

Aroma of caramel malt with peche and apple. Something of a mix of fruit esters. Hazy caramel color with a white head that left quickly. Thin to medium bodied. Fizzy, near creamy carbonation. Flavor of caramel and fruits. Arguably a bit of peach, apple and banana. Very smooth. The finish is slightly caramel, neither sweet nor dry. Not a great deal of bitter. There is something lightly sour like fruit skins. It is just a marvelous drink.

Bottle: Pours an orange amber color with light amount of haziness. Small head is gone in the blink of an eye. Aroma is mild of fruit and cider/wine. Taste is sort of bland at first, but developed into a sweet and ciderlike blend of fruits. Apple, ctirus, even strawberries. Some caramel too. Light alcohol presence. It really sits and warms on the palate. Not bad at all.

Orange, low creamy tanned head. Peachy caramel aroma, minerally dusty notes. Relatively lightbodied, estery peachy base, sweet and strong, light ashen yeasty finish.

Bright pale amber colour, ordinary head and quite nice perlage. Not surprising aroma, some sweetness and alcohol, some malt, light fruitness. Quite strong body, alcohol, poor malt and hop character, some sweetness. Ordinary palate.
