Orange with a frothy, white head. Aroma dominated by tangerines. Undertone is a bit dank, accompanied by oak. Taste is mildly bitter, mildly tart, sweetish. All over the place. Lovely body, smooth, a bit chewy, extremely drinkable. Faint cognac at the finish, and a touch warm, but the alcohol stays well hidden. Pleasant sipping.

Very good dense white head over clear metallic copper beer, good lace. Brandy in the nose, white candi sugar, green leaves, even a bit grassy, and sweet ethanol. Sweet, with a woody streak and indeed brandy. Sweet and not much complexity, boozy instead. Alcoholheat, if not really explosive, alcoholslickness too. Dangerous... I don't like infused, barrel aging confers more subtle, complex depth. This is a good example of too much. Thanks to Stef!

Bottle as a gift from Belbiere.

23 February 2019. (Tasting formerly known as) RBBWG. Cheers to all, thanks Kraddel for the hospitality! Clear ochre with a lasting, small, unstable, frothy, white head; little lacing. Aroma of ripe banana, apple cake, white pepper, toasted white bread, white grapes, vanilla, yeast, lemon peel. Taste is medium fruity sweet, lots of ripe banana, apple & apricot, touch of vanilla; medium spicy bitter middle brings pepper, grass, white grapes, supported by a bready-yeasty malty base and a sourish lemon accent. Dry, peppery hoppy finish, lingering banana, vanilla, bread, and a good dash of warming cognac alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice interpretation of the classic Belgian Tripel!
