Pours dark, redbrown. No real head. Smell is cherrie, oak, tad tart. Taste is tart, fullbodied, dry , cherries, bit astrigent, oaky. Too much cherries towards the finish to me.

Bottle. Color: Hazy very dark reddish brown, very thin beige head. Aroma: Dark malt, sour cherries. Taste: Dark malt, sourish dark cherries, mildly vinuous, lightly boozy. Medium bitterness. Notes of wood, cherry kernels. Spicy and caramel hints. Full body, soft carbonation. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Long lasting bittery dark cherry finish with lightly boozy palate. Lovely beer, the clearly present but not too overwhelming sourish dark cherries give the Old Ale an extra dimension and complexity. Well balanced.
