Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Clear amber colour lasting white head. Saison and ester aroma. Yes a mix of a saison and wheat beer. yep tasty enough. solid. drinkable. likeable. Good balance.

Flaska från No Science webshop. Disig gyllengul vätska med högt skum. Doft och smak av blommor, klorofyll, örter, parfym, kamomill och koriander. Lite oljig munkänsla, ganska torr och krispig. Trevlig

@ l'union, st. Gillis. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Rather sweet, lots of banana, some citrussy notes, light soapy.

Hybrid of German Hefeweizen and Belgian saison, or at least intended as one, from this young brewer in Brussels. Thanks tderoeck. Eggshell-white, mousy, regular, opening head (not looking like a classic Hefeweizen, nor a classic saison head actually), misty pale orange-tinged apricot blonde robe. Aroma ruined by strong DMS (overcooked broccoli), next to peach, green banana, white bread slices, old potatoes, clove, cold green cabbage soup, apple peel, damp straw. Fruity onset, some banana, apple and pear, sweetish with a sourish undertone, fizzy carbonation but ‘refined’ and acceptable for what it intends to be; smooth, bready-fluffy, cereally malt body with a thin layer of honeyish sweetness on top, something sourish lingering, herbal and floral hoppy touch in the end pushed away by that awful DMS; some yeasty-spicy and bready aspects linger. This to me is not very saison-like even in the traditional sense of the word and even less Weissbier-like; the DMS on top of that was the last straw and ruined this beer for me. Too bad, their previous brews were rather promising.

Clear orange beer, big fizzy creamy to aery off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of grains, malty, hay, tea, cow fodder, orange peel, floral, DMS. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, lots of DMS, cooked vegetables, some cloves. Aftertaste: bit sourish, potato peels, unpleasant, pretty dirty, sourish, weird, bit watery, not great…

Bottle sample @ BIRA BIRA beer festival #1. Orange, col fin blanc.

F: medium, white, quick gone. C: gold, hazy. A: malty, vaguely fruity, orange peels, bready, bit yeasty. T: malty, sweet fruity, bit bready, bit spicy, medium body and lower carbonation, nothing real from weizen and from saison, drinkable that’s all, 0,33l bottle from Färm shop Chaussée de Wavre, Brussels.

12/09/2018 @home - 33cl bottle from Le Comptoir Belge. Clear golden, pearly fading white head. Nose is sweet malty, bit fruity, spices. Taste is dry and spicy like a saison but a bit too sweet, no weizen aspects to detect.
