At WFG 2021.1, day 1. Can't go wrong with Kane, especially the anteater range. Thick, smooth, rich, lightly roasty and soft bourbon. The cacao floating through it makes it a tad more pastry, but subdued. Amazing balance, delicious stuff.

750 ml bottle shared by Sander, many thanks!
Black body, with a medium, creamy dark beige head.
Lovely aroma of bourbon, creamy chocolate, cocoa, dark fruits, some coconut.
Tastes similar, with even more cocoa and chocolate.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes very smooth, moderate roasty, moderate sweet, a bit wooden, with cocoa, chocolate, some barrel.
Delicous! So creamy and balanced, with just moderate bourbon barrel and most of all lots of creamy chocolate notes throughout. Drinks incredibly smooth for the ABV. Outstanding stuff.

Thanks Huhzubendah for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing pitch black with latte foam lacing. The nose shows a robust mix of dark chocolate and milk chocolate. The palate is full bodied and lightly but smooth carbonated. Flavors of very dark chocolate throughout with the same bitterness on the finish. Very strong intensity of baker’s and dark chocolate throughout; feels as if you could bite into the beer.

Bottle courtesy of Carl. Pours viscous oily black with a small mocha head that doesnät leave much trace on the glass while dissiapting. Smell is malty with roasted malts, burnt caramel, vanilla fudge, charred wood, tons of oily high quality cocoa powder, espresso coffee, roasted coconut, moist soil and hints of bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, heavy bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is soft, round, heavy oily, astringent, tiny boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with almost all oily bitter cocoa powder. Strange one... The hefty sweetness makes it feel a bit thin and sugary while at the same time the extremely oily cocoa powder character makes for a very fat mouthfeel. Quite good but also a bit all over the place. Would like to try the base some time for comparison.

A strange one. The sweetness makes it feel thin but the oily cacao makes for a huge mouthfeel. Unbalanced but quite tasty...
