Bottle. Medium to dark brown color, small, oily head. Fruity, sourish aroma. A bit sweet as well. Good hops. Good malt, though not at all roasted. Extremely fruity and pretty sweet. A touch of chocolate. A bit sour. Bitter, sour, dry finish, with some sweet malt and a lot of fruit as well. Very well balanced. Lighter in body, refreshing and perky. Good stuff.

Nice, rich, dark brown color with a beige head. Taste is malty with notes of chocolate. Overall, I enjoyed this brew very much.

Bottle. Poured, as it should, brown with a light brown head. Aroma was mostly malty. Flavor began malty but built to a chocolate finish.

Pours clear brown to chestnut with very nice lasting tan head. The aroma has a decent load of roasted malts then some nuttiness, a dash of crystal malts, some highly roasted malts and a hint of oxidation. The taste is mostly like the aroma with full on malt roastiness, some nuttiness, near burnt malts, some chocolate malts and crystal malts seem to round things out. Pretty solid tasting brown.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy ruby tinged brown color. Pleasant nutty roasted malt aroma. Taste of roasted malt with caramel and bitter hop notes. Medium bodied.

12oz bottle. Chestnut-amber color. Malty and sweet. Medium bodied, not really so well balanced. Could use a little more hops or a little less Crystal Malt. I remember holding the Nut Brown in higher regard. Sugary finish, but all around a pretty decent session beer.

A clear brown ale with a thin creamy white head. A pleasant hoppy kickstart, followed by pleasant berry notes. In mouth, a good nutty malt with a surprising amount of hops, nice resinous ones. The brewer did a good job on this. Medium bodied. Tasted in late nov. 2006.

Clear brown body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet floral hop aroma with a malty backend. Sweet floral hops with a caramel and earthy malt background. Very light body with moderate carbonation

Deep brown coloured body with a soda type tan head - not very pleasing at all. Aroma of nuts, roasted malt, wood and a bit of salt - not nice either. Medium to Light-bodied; Strong malty flavour with a very tiny bit of sawdust, cardboard and nuts entering in the palate. Aftertaste shows more of the same - with some even worse tastes if that is possible. Overall, such a bad beer - just like the other sary beers - definitely one worth passing. I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased from Stewart’s (Convenience Store) in Lake Placid, New York on 09-February-2008.
