As its name indicates, this beer is not one for snacks or meals but instead goes down like a peach at dessert to which it is perfectly suited. Black as the night with few clouds in sight, this Imperial Stout gives off sweet scents of malt, chocolate, vanilla, roasted caramel and cake. Chocolate, roasted cocoa, vanilla and cake blend into a sweet and lasting flavour tinged with drops of bitterness and wrapped in creamy succulence. So good it counts as a dessert in a bottle!

A dense tan head on a near black body. The nose features sweet malt, chocolate and smooth coffee. A lot of great things going on here. Vanilla and dark chocolate lead the taste profile, blended with fresh ground coffee, toffee, dark fruit and some woodiness. A touch of nutmeg and a slightly burnt aftertaste round out a beaut of an Imperial Stout.

Bottle. Pitch black body with a big, fast disappearing beige head. Aroma has dark malt, coffee, soy and less chocolate than expected – not much at all. Flavor is really sweet, dark malt, quite smooth, roasted coffee, hint of vanilla and balancing bitterness. Full bodied and long lasting aftertaste. Nice, but I still prefer the Brunch.

Bottle. Deep, dark brown almost black. Very small head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste is chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Really good.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark chocolate, vanilla, tiramisu, chocolate donut, dark roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate cake, fudge, with a touch of coffee. Flavour is sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Body is full. Very rich and sweet, huge tiramisu and chocolate vanilla donut, dessert, not the most balanced, pretty extreme dessert unit.

Аромат слегка сухой, но при этом небольшая сладость от ванили. Есть нотки шоколада ну и конечно какао бобы и само кофе но уже меньше. Цвет темный, пенки почти нету, видно маслянистость уже в бокале. Вкус конечно тяжелый все равно, даже несмотря на ванильный и в принципе сладкие нотки в пиве, но не концентрированный при этом. Послевкусие более сухое, какао бобы и немного кофе, все в меру. Мне лично не хватило ванили. А так хороший стаут.

Creamy white fair mostly diminishing head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, cacao, vanilla, coffee and roasted nuts. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, cacao, coffee, vanilla, roasted nuts, caramel and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, sweet. Coffee, chocolate and doughnuts. Really tasty, but on the sweet and gimmicky side. Still, very nice.

Can from MikkellerBeerMail. Pours opaque dark brownish black with medium brown head. Aroma is rotated malt, malt syrup, prunes, cocoa, vanilla, coconut and cream. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter, faint acidic and light salty. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of vanilla, cocoa, sweet liquorice, good pour over coffee, sweet rum and prunes. Nicely rich and round.

Lovely dessert by itself this one Raven black pour with a fine head. Good intensity in the aroma Balanced fine sweetness for a beer like this. Also a fine carbonation level Dangerously easy to drink Dark malt, fruity, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa and some coffee in the flavor Well masked alcohol level [Bottle from Grima]
